Our 2024 Commodore's Ball is planned for Saturday, August 3.

One of the most anticipated events of the SHYC season, the Commodore hosts members and their guests at the annual gala. Held at the finest local waterfront restaurants, on an early August evening, participants enjoy cocktails, fine dining, dancing to live music and spectacular views.  

During the evening, the Commodore presents the Commodore’s Cup to the club member who best exemplifies the character of the SHYC.  The Commodore’s Ball is the perfect occasion for members to reunite with old friends and to make new ones.

Past venues have included Gurney's Inn in Montauk, The Dering Harbor Inn and The Pridwin on Shelter Island and the old Waterside in Noyac.
